2012 National Contest
NATIONAL COLLEGIATE SOILS CONTEST RULES
On a national level, collegiate soil judging is organized by the Students of Agronomy, Soils, and Environmental Sciences (SASES) within the American Society of Agronomy. The official rules for the National Collegiate Soils Contest were revised and accepted in September 2008.

SOIL SURVEY OF MARION AND MONONGALIA COUNTIES, WV
All practice and contest sites will be located in Marion and Monongalia Counties, within a few miles of Morgantown, WV. Most soils will be typical of the landscapes of the Central Allegheny Plateau (MLRA 126). A PDF copy of the local soil survey report is available from USDA-NRCS Soil Data Mart.
